I'm getting search engine hits for a spam word (the one which has me looking for a necktie with hens on it) altho that word appears nowhere on my site. What happened is that the cached copy still has a comment spam which I deleted.

Comment on Success Covers Sin? by M.A.C. (aka) Bruce W. Moar

Something we need to remember is the guy in the front usually is considered by the congregation or his/her followers to be without sin. Maybe his/her sin is that he/she is so narcissistic they can't see their own sin. Most of us forget that we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God (Rom.3:23). Just like in the world people want to do business with someone they think is successful, we as Christians all want to follow someone we think has it altogether in Christ. We forget that the original sin is judgment and that our judgment stinks, remember the fall should be our rallying call as believers.

When a person judges another person in leadership it is usually because;

1. They think they can do it better and they want the Shekina, or God's glory for themselves.

2. They are jealous of the other persons position and are coveting it.

3. Why not me, they are focusing on what they want instead of what God wants and are probably missing every opportunity to do God's will in their life.

4. The judgment is a good one and we should be focusing on helping our erring brother/sister with forgiveness and compassion instead of condemnation. (Gal.6:1-5)

The bottom line here is that we should be examining the plank in our own eye before looking at the sawdust in our brothers eye, amen?

What a powerful article about the presence of God. So many fail to realize that the New Testament proclaims that God "in whom we live and move and have our being." Seeing God's presence requires faith as well as practice.

Thanks for your kind remarks, Sarah.

Your blog is filled with inspiration, and your posts on Gratitude encouraged me to revisit the subject. Practicing an "Attitude of Gratitude" is not just a good idea because spiritual leaders have "told us to". It is sound practice for our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health.

Joy,
-Russell
